Miscellanées, volume 1

Orgues Nouvelles is a magazine that contains a section of sheet music in each issue.
We felt it was important to bring together some of the sheet music published in these first 50 issues in a separate collection, as this combination of feature articles and practical music-making recently celebrated its golden anniversary (issue no. 50).
In doing so, we aimed to complete certain scores initially published in excerpt form and to enrich the collection with several unpublished pieces selected according to the chosen theme of each collection.

‘Miscellanea’ is an unusual title for this new offering from our magazine, but the definition of this literary genre, ‘a literary mosaic’, perfectly captures its spirit. For the first volume of this new collection, we present a selection of transcriptions and contemporary compositions ‘in the ancien style’, which we hope will delight your minds, fingers, and ears.
